The heat is on! 102°F and climbing!

Yeap, it is that time of year again. My blog’s weather icon is now reading 102°F. It will surely soon get even hotter than that. I haven’t been outside yet today, however my sink strangely clogged up and I desperately need some liquid plumber now! arrrr!!! Not to mention, I am starved and want to cook something but have no sink. It is my last day off and don’t feel like getting dress, and without further ado, it is hotter than Haiti out there. What should I do? HELP!!!!!!!

Tucson, Arizona

Aside form all the ruckus I wrote about above, I designed a new image header for my ugly blog. I took this photo about three years ago in my advanced Photoshop class. It is actually three photos merged into one. Just recently I digitally edited it and gave it a painted look. I am sure you notice the similarities. So what else is new? …..Oh I still need a root canal :(

I think I need a root canal!

Just this past week my lower bottom molar has been bothering me. However I did experience this same pain last year while I was on my way to Japan. Strangely the pain went away after the second week or so in Japan then never returned until 15 months later. Perhaps it was an infection that went away by itself and came back? There is nothing wrong with the tooth, no decay, but long ago I had a filling near the root which could be the reason of its sensitivity. Welp, I surely hope it goes away again. I also been told root canals aren’t cheap. Since I have no dental insurance I’ll have to break the bank. Crap, this is the sucks!!!

root canal After 2 weeks the tooth still freakin hurts! The only time It feels decent is when I am sitting down and not moving, other than that it feels my nerves trigger off the pain and reeks havoc on my entire right jaw. The good new is my job now has insurance enrollments, but I will have to suffer a substantial pay cut for the weekly insurance fee. Well, it is either take the insurance or pay approximately $2000 up front to a dental firm. This is still the sucks!!!

Does this offend you?

Middle Finger

I was in a hotel room in Kyoto Japan when a children’s show was airing. There was this adult person in a Barney like suit but more less a giant duck. He (or she) was teaching the kids basic Japanese. It appeared the giant like duck was teaching the children different ways to position their fingers. Out of the blue, these children simultaneously stuck up their middle fingers! The big duck said something like “Wakamakasui!!!!!!!” and they all repeated “Wakamakasui!” or something like that and stuck up their middle fingers. I nearly crapped my pants!

At the time my Japanese friend was at work. So I decided when she returns I ‘ll flick her off and see what her response would be. Sure enough she smiled and said “You number 1 too!” So I guess finger jesters are something only western society can relate too. Although I heard that touching your nose is very offensive in mid eastern societies.

10 years in Tucson!

January 10th, 2008 celebrates my 10th straight year living in Tucson, Arizona. I was just rummaging though some dated back checks and pay stubs then came across my old Amtrak tickets. The ticket stubs dating back to Jan, 10th 1998, making it 10 years and one month since my arrival to this hot bed.

Tucson Inn

Here is a photo I took of the hotel I stayed at for the first 2 weeks here. Having no idea that the hotel was a dive, but at 20 bucks a night it wasn’t bad. The rooms were relatively clean and they had cable TV. At any rate I am really getting sick of Tucson. I would love to relocate to another destination before I turn 40, but who knows what will happen?
